Product Description

LOCTITE® 443™ is a general-purpose cyanoacrylate instant adhesive that fills the gap between the low-viscosity, fast-fixturing grades in this range and the rubber-toughened options — it's a straightforward, unmodified formulation at a higher viscosity than LOCTITE® 401™, useful when a slightly thicker product is easier to control on vertical or irregular surfaces. It bonds rubbers, plastics, and metals, and stands out in this family for unusually broad, flat chemical resistance — strength retention holds near 100% across a wide range of solvents and fluids even after 1,000 hours, which is a genuinely useful property when a bonded assembly will see cleaning solvents or fuel exposure in service.

How It's Used

Bond surfaces should be clean and free from grease. 443™ performs best in thin bond gaps around 0.05 mm. Excess adhesive can be dissolved with LOCTITE® cleanup solvents, nitromethane, or acetone.

LOCTITE® 443™ is not recommended for pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems, or as a sealant against chlorine or other strong oxidizers.

Storage

Store in the original, unopened container in a dry location. Optimal storage is 2°C to 8°C — storage below 2°C or above 8°C can affect product properties. Material removed from the container should not be returned to it once it may have been contaminated during use.
