The product cures when confined in theabsence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and preventsloosening and leakage from shock and vibration. LOCTITE® 263™is particularly suited for heavy duty applications such as studs intomotor housings, nuts onto studs in pump housings and otherfasteners where high strength is required. LOCTITE® 263™provides robust curing performance. It not only works on activemetals (e.g. brass, copper) but also on passive substrates such asstainless steel and plated surfaces. The product offers hightemperature performance and oil tolerance. It tolerates minorsurface contaminations from various oils, such as cutting,lubrication, anti-corrosion and protection fluids.
