Product Description
REOLOSIL QS-20LS is a very fine, amorphous hydrophilic fumed silica manufactured by Tokuyama through combustion of high-purity silicon tetrachloride with oxygen and hydrogen. Its high surface area and small particle size give it strong rheology- control performance, and it is used as a thickening, anti-settling, thixotropic, and free-flow agent across unsaturated polyester resin (UPR), adhesives, paint, and ink formulations.
● Large specific surface area with very small primary particle size (mean ca. 12 nm)
● Effective thickening and anti-settling performance at low addition levels
● Thixotropic rheology control — builds viscosity at rest, thins under shear
● Supports free-flow behavior in powder and formulation handling
● Unsaturated polyester resin (UPR)
● Adhesives
● Paint
● Ink
● Free-flow / anti-caking applications
REOLOSIL QS-20LS pairs well with our unsaturated polyester resin and gelcoat product line, where it is commonly used to control sag resistance and prevent settling of fillers and pigments during storage and application.
