Neogel® 8373-W-9747 is an iso/neopentyl glycol (ISO-NPG) gelcoat developed especially for boat building, swimming pools, sanitary ware, and furniture. It combines easy application, good resistance to long water immersion (good blister resistance), excellent weatherability (less yellowing), good air release, and good mechanical properties. It conforms to USA ANSI-Z-124-1 and is approved by DNV Italia and Italian RINA.

Application Methods

Suitable for brush, roller, air-atomized spray gun, and airless spray application.

Application Characteristics

Neogel® 8373-W-9747 is pre-accelerated, thixotropic, and ready for use, available in a wide range of colors in spray type (this grade) or brush type (8373-W-9747 H). Standard and paraffinated versions are also available on request for both spray and brush types.

Recommended spray equipment settings:

• Spray gun: nozzle diameter 2.0–3.5 mm, pressure 4–5 bar

• Airless equipment: nozzle types 18/40–21/40

For optimum performance:

• Operating temperature: 18–25°C

• Cure with 50% MEKP solution (e.g. Butanox M50), adjusted between 1.0–2.5%

• Film thickness: 600–800 g/m²
