Atlac ® 430 LV GT250
Product Detail

Application

Atlac® 430 LV GT250 is a pre-accelerated vinyl ester resin based on bisphenol A epoxide, dissolved in styrene. It offers medium reactivity, low viscosity, and a longer gel time, giving excellent impregnation and flow properties for infusion processing. Components based on Atlac® 430 LV GT250 feature superior mechanical properties and heat resistance.

This is the low-viscosity, infusion-specific member of our Atlac® 430 family. Compare with general-purpose Atlac® 430 (filament winding, centrifugal casting, hand lay-up, spray-up) and antiosmosis-focused Atlac® 430 ACT(hand lay-up and spray for marine hulls and tooling) to choose the right grade for your fabrication process. If flame retardancy is the priority, see the brominated Atlac® 430YT 901.

Atlac® 430 LV series offers multiple gel-time options — ask our sales team about alternatives if GT250's 50–70 minute gel time doesn't match your process window.

Benefits

● Outstanding mechanical properties

● Outstanding chemical resistance and water resistance

● Long-term heat resistance

● Matches well with carbon fiber and aramid fiber

● Fast impregnation, improving process efficiency

Chemical/Physical Nature

Atlac® 430 LV GT250 is a pre-accelerated vinyl ester based on bisphenol A epoxide, dissolved in styrene, with medium reactivity, low viscosity, and a longer gel time than our standard Atlac® 430 grades.

Application

Atlac® 430 LV GT250 is especially adapted to meet the requirements of chemical resistance and outstanding mechanical properties, in applications such as auto parts, marine, tanks, vessels and devices, chemical resistance protection, water conservancy projects, and pipe repair. Its low viscosity makes it suitable for VIP (vacuum infusion process) and RTM (resin transfer molding).

Atlac® 430 LV GT250 has been approved by China Classification Society (CCS) and Lloyd's Register of Shipping (LR) for boat building.
