Product Description

Neogel® 8305-W-9735 is an isophthalic neopentyl glycol (NPG) gelcoat widely used in sanitary ware, marine, and construction applications. It offers good application properties, excellent long-term water resistance (blister resistance), and good weathering resistance (yellowing resistance).

It is a pre-accelerated, thixotropic gelcoat, available across a wide range of light colors for spray application (this grade, 8305-W). A companion grade, 8305-T/SR, is available for air-drying spray-molding processes.

Application Methods

Suitable for brush, roller, air-atomizing spray gun, and airless spray gun application.

When spray equipment is used, recommended conditions are:

• Air-atomizing spray gun: nozzle diameter 2.0–3.5 mm, spray pressure 4–5 bar

• Airless spray gun: recommended nozzle size 18/40–21/40

For optimum results, maintain these application conditions:

• Gelcoat temperature: 18–25°C

• Use a 50% MEKP curing agent solution (e.g. Butanox M50) at 1.0%–2.5%

• Applied coating weight: not less than 600–800 g/m²
