Description

SWANCOR 905-2 is a brominated bisphenol-A type epoxy vinyl ester resin, offering corrosion resistance to a broad range of organic and inorganic acids, alkalis, oxidizing chemicals, and salt solutions on par with standard bisphenol-A vinyl ester resins. Reinforced with glass fiber, carbon fiber, or Kevlar fiber, it delivers strong tensile and flexural mechanical properties.Because it's brominated, SWANCOR 905-2 offers flame retardancy for FRP applications beyond what standard (non-brominated) vinyl ester resins provide — ASTM E84 Class 1 can be achieved when formulated with 3–5% antimony trioxide. It's designed for superior toughness and fatigue resistance, supported by a relatively high heat distortion temperature.
