LOCTITE® 435™
Product Detail

Product Description

LOCTITE® 435™ brings the flexibility and shock resistance of a rubber-toughened cyanoacrylate — the same category as LOCTITE® 410™— but at a dramatically lower viscosity (100–250 mPa·s versus 410's 1,700–5,000), making it a better fit where the adhesive needs to wet into tighter gaps or bond thinner sections without pooling. It bonds a wide range of materials, including metals, plastics, and elastomers, as well as porous and absorbent materials like wood, paper, leather, and fabric. What sets 435™ apart in this family is that it's been tested to Henkel's protocols based on ISO 10993 biocompatibility standards, intended to assist in selecting products for medical device applications — a distinguishing factor if your buyers are in med-tech manufacturing rather than general industrial assembly.

How It's Used

Bond surfaces should be clean and free from grease. 435™ performs best in thin bond gaps around 0.05 mm. Excess adhesive can be dissolved with LOCTITE® cleanup solvents, nitromethane, or acetone.

LOCTITE® 435™ is not recommended for pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems, or as a sealant against chlorine or other strong oxidizers.

Storage

Store in the original, unopened container in a dry location. Optimal storage is 2°C to 8°C — storage below 2°C or above 8°C can affect product properties. Material removed from the container should not be returned to it once it may have been contaminated during use.

Safety

This page summarizes performance data only. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for full handling, storage, and safety information before use.

LOCTITE® is a trademark of Henkel Corporation in the U.S. and elsewhere.
