LOCTITE® Frekote PMC™ is a special blend of solvents designed to dissolve and remove wax from polyester molds without dulling the surface. This product can also be used to clean epoxy and metal mold surfaces as well as for cleaning brushes and equipment.
Product Description
LOCTITE® Frekote PMC™ is a special-purpose solvent blend, not a release agent itself, but the preparation step that makes release agents work properly. It's formulated to dissolve and lift wax and mold residue from polyester molds without dulling the mold surface — a common risk with more aggressive cleaners or abrasives. Beyond polyester tooling, Frekote PMC™ also cleans epoxy and metal mold surfaces, as well as brushes and application equipment. It's the recommended prep product ahead of applying Frekote® mold sealers or mold release agents, since a wax-free surface is what lets those products bond and perform as intended.
