Chem Trend Chemlease PMR EZ
Product Detail

Product Description

Chemlease PMR-90 EZ is a rapid-curing, semi-permanent mold release agent manufactured by Chem-Trend. It is formulated to deliver multiple part releases per application with minimal transfer to the molded part. As the highest-slip version within the Chemlease PMR family, PMR-90 EZ is primarily intended for closed molding of abrasive or low-draft parts, where release performance is critical to part quality and production efficiency.

Key Beefits

● HAPs-free formulation — hazardous air pollutants are not intentionally added as formula constituents

● High thermal stability for demanding mold cycles

● Easy to apply with a simple wipe-on application process

● Multiple releases between reapplications, reducing rework and downtime

● Lowers labor time and overall release-agent cost per part

● Solvent carriers contain no Class I or II registered ozone-depleting substances

● HAPs are not formula constituents of this product; however, standard manufacturing processes may result in trace quantities (below 0.1%) of HAPs.

Application Overview

Mold surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned to remove residual wax, release agent, and sealer before use, and treated with the appropriate Chemlease cleaner and sealer for new or porous molds. Base coats are applied as a thin, even wipe-on film using a clean cotton cloth, typically 4–5 coats with roughly 15 minutes between coats, followed by a 30-minute full cure before production resumes. Light touch-up coats can be reapplied as needed and cured following the same process as the final base coat. Actual coat count and cure time should be adjusted based on mold geometry and shop humidity conditions, and release film performance is best confirmed through tape testing and on-mold trials.
