Product Description
LOCTITE®620 is designed for the bonding of cylindrical fittingparts. The product cures when confined in the absence of airbetween close fitting metal surfaces and prevents looseningand leakage from shock and vibration. Typical applicationsinclude locating pins in radiator assemblies, sleeves into pumphousings and bearings in auto transmissions. Particularlysuitable for applications where temperature resistance up to200°C is required.

How It's Used
Surfaces are cleaned with a LOCTITE® cleaning solvent and dried; on inactive metals or slow cure situations, threads can be sprayed with Activator 7471™ or 7649™ and allowed to dry. Product is shaken thoroughly before use. For slip-fitted assemblies, adhesive is applied around the leading edge of the pin and inside the collar with a rotating motion during assembly; for press-fitted assemblies, both bond surfaces are coated and assembled at high press-on rates; for shrink-fitted assemblies, the pin is coated and the collar heated for clearance before assembly. Parts should not be disturbed until sufficient handling strength develops. Disassembly requires localized heat to around 250°C. Cured residue is removed by soaking in a LOCTITE® solvent and mechanical scraping, avoiding dust and aerosol formation, then wiped clean with a LOCTITE® cleaner.
LOCTITE® 620™ is not recommended for pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems, or as a sealant against chlorine or other strong oxidizers, and is not normally recommended for use on plastics.
Storage
Store in the original, unopened container in a dry location. Optimal storage is 8°C to 21°C — storage below 8°C or above 28°C can affect product properties. Material removed from the container should not be returned to it once it may have been contaminated during use.
Safety
This page summarizes performance data only. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for full handling, storage, and safety information before use.
