4-tert-Butylcatechol (TBC) is an aromatic dihydroxy compound with a specific chemical structure. Themolecule contains a benzene ring with two hydroxyl groups, and a tert-butyl substituent at the4-position of the ring.
Application
4-tert-Butylcatechol (TBC)'s polymerization inhibitory performance is 25 times higher than that ofhydroquinone at 60°C. It is an efficient polymerization inhibitor during the distillation or storage andtransportation of olefin monomers (Styrene, Butadiene and other vinyl monomers), and is used as anantioxidant for unsaturated polyester resins, polymer materials, inks and oils, and stabilizer forpesticides.
