Product Description
AEROSIL® 380 is a hydrophilic fumed silica with a specific surface area of 350–410 m²/g — the highest surface area in our standard AEROSIL® line, above both AEROSIL® 300(270–330 m²/g) and the 200 m²/g grades. This very fine particle structure gives the strongest rheological and thickening effect per unit dose of the series, at the trade-off of needing more thorough dispersion equipment or longer mixing time to fully wet out and reach its performance potential.
Once well dispersed, AEROSIL® 380 delivers high transparency, making it suitable for clear and low-haze systems as well as general industrial and powder coatings where strong sag control is needed without clouding the finish.
