Description
SM6101 (E-44) is a liquid bisphenol A epoxy resin synthesized from epichlorohydrin and bisphenol A, with an epoxy equivalent of 210–240 g/eq. It is described by the manufacturer as having moderate viscosity and the highest production volume among their liquid grades, making it a general-purpose liquid epoxy resin for coatings and adhesives.
The resin appears as a transparent liquid with no obvious mechanical impurities. Its lower epoxy equivalent weight relative to solid grades like SM601 gives it a higher density of reactive epoxy groups per unit mass, which is typical of standard liquid bisphenol A resins used as the base resin in two-part adhesive and coating systems.
