Trigonox 145-E85 is 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butylperoxy)hexyne-3 (DYBP, CAS 1068-27-5) at 83–86 % in mineral oil, a bifunctional crosslinking peroxide from Nouryon. It crosslinks natural rubber, synthetic rubbers and polyolefins.
Its safe processing temperature is 145 °C (rheometer ts2 > 20 min) and its typical crosslinking temperature is 185 °C (rheometer t90 about 12 min), about 10 °C higher than DHBP grades such as Trigonox 101.
