Product Detail

Product Description

Atlac® 430 is a vinyl ester resin engineered for corrosive-environment service. Components made with Atlac® 430 feature high mechanical strength and strong resistance to chemicals and heat, and can be reinforced with either carbon or glass fiber to produce strong, durable parts.

Building a boat hull or other below-waterline marine part where antiosmosis performance is the priority? See Atlac® 430 ACT, our hand lay-up and spray-specific grade purpose-built for that application.Working with vacuum infusion (VIP) or RTM instead? See the low-viscosity Atlac® 430 LV GT250.Need flame retardancy for chimneys or fire-rated equipment? See the brominated Atlac® 430 YT 901.

Benefits

● Continued process operation in corrosive service

● Resists elevated temperatures

● Freedom of design across multiple fabrication methods

● Low cost of ownership

● Compatible with both carbon and glass fiber reinforcement

Application

Atlac® 430 can be used in all fabrication methods, but is especially adapted to meet the requirements of filament winding, centrifugal casting, hand lay-up, and spray-up applications.

The resin provides resistance to a wide range of acids, alkalis, and bleaches for use in corrosive environments in the chemical processing industry. The favorable combination of thermal resistance and elongation makes this resin suitable for applications exposed to intermittent temperatures.
