Description

WSR 6101 is a liquid epoxy resin from Feng Huang®, manufactured from bisphenol-A and epichlorohydrin. It is recognized as a standard grade from which many other variations have been developed. A wide range of curing agents can cure it at ambient conditions — most commonly aliphatic polyamines, polyamides, amidoamines, cycloaliphatic amines, and modified versions of these. Curing systems are sometimes processed at elevated temperature to improve chemical resistance and glass transition temperature; when anhydride or catalytic curing agents are used, elevated-temperature cures and long post-cures are necessary to develop full end properties.
