Product Description

Trigonox® K-90 is a cumyl hydroperoxide formulation used as a polymerization initiator and thermoset curing agent. It is suitable for emulsion, solution and bulk polymerization processes involving styrene, acrylates and methacrylates. It can also be used for curing promoted unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resin systems at ambient temperature, as well as non-promoted systems at elevated temperatures.

The main difference is their active peroxide concentration: K-90 has a higher active content than K-80. Because of this difference, they should not be replaced on a one-to-one weight basis. The dosage should be recalculated according to the required active peroxide level, and the final selection should also consider the polymerization system, curing temperature, accelerator package and processing conditions.
