Key Benefits - Powder form for convenient handling and dispersion - Suitable for rubber and polyolefin crosslinking - Good scorch safety during processing - Suitable for selected one-step mixing processes - Helps achieve stable and consistent crosslinking Applications Trigonox® 101-50D-PD is a bifunctional peroxide which is used for the crosslinking of natural rubber and synthetic rubbers, as well as polyolefins. Rubber compounds containing Trigonox® 101-50D-PD have excellent scorch safety, and under certain conditions one step mixing is possible. Safe processing temperature: 135°C (rheometer ts2 > 20 min.). Typical crosslinking temperature: 175°C (rheometer t90 about 12 min.). Product Selection Guidance Trigonox 101-50D-PD and Trigonox 101 use the same peroxide chemistry, but their physical forms are different. Trigonox 101-50D-PD is a 50% powder formulation on an inert carrier, while Trigonox 101 is supplied as a pure liquid peroxide. The powder grade may be preferred when easier handling, improved dispersion and more accurate solid-compound dosing are required. The two products should not be replaced directly without recalculating the active peroxide dosage and confirming the processing conditions. Trigonox 101-50D-PDand Trigonox 101-45D-PD are both powder formulations for similar crosslinking applications. The main difference is the active peroxide concentration: 101-50D-PD contains approximately 50% active ingredient, while 101-45D-PD contains approximately 45%. They should not be replaced at the same dosage without adjusting for the difference in active content. | |
