LOCTITE® 262™ steps up from a removable threadlocker like LOCTITE® 243™ into permanent locking territory, purpose-built for large bolts and studs up to M25 that aren't meant to come apart with standard hand tools. It's an anaerobic, single-component acrylic that cures once confined between close-fitting metal surfaces, locking and sealing threaded joints against loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. Its thixotropic nature keeps the liquid product from migrating after application, which matters for larger fastener sizes where a runny product would be harder to control. LOCTITE® 262™ carries testing to Mil-S-46163A lot requirements and ASTM D5363 for North American production, and offers the same oil tolerance and high-temperature performance that make the broader LOCTITE® threadlocker range suitable for demanding mechanical assemblies.
