Description
Perkadox® PD-50S-PS is a di(2,4-dichlorobenzoyl) peroxide from Nouryon, supplied as a 50% formulation in paste form. Unlike the MEKP and BPO peroxides on this site used to cure unsaturated polyester resins, PD-50S-PS is a monofunctional peroxide specifically for crosslinking silicone rubber.

Perkadox® PD-50S-PS is a monofunctional peroxide which is used for the crosslinking of silicone rubber. Safe processing temperature: 75°C (rheometer ts2 > 20 min.). Typical crosslinking temperature: 90°C (rheometer t90 about 12 min.) Thermal StabilityAs an organic peroxide, Perkadox® PD-50S-PS is thermally unstable and can undergo self-accelerating decomposition above a certain temperature threshold. Its Self-Accelerating Decomposition Temperature (SADT), determined by the Heat Accumulation Storage Test per UN transport testing criteria, is 60°C (140°F). | |
