LOCTITE® EA 9497™ is a medium-viscosity, two-component, room-temperature-curing structural epoxy adhesive. It's a step up in bond strength from a general-purpose grade like LOCTITE® EA 1C™, delivering higher tensile and compressive strength alongside genuinely demanding hot-strength performance. EA 9497™ is particularly suited to heat dissipation applications — bonding metal sheets for high heat transfer, and potting electrical components — where both mechanical strength and thermal conductivity matter. It bonds a broad range of substrates beyond metals, including engineering plastics, glass fiber reinforced epoxy, and both hardwood and softwood, giving it wider substrate versatility than a repair-focused product like LOCTITE® EA 3473.
