Description
SM601 (E-20) is a solid bisphenol A epoxy resin synthesized from epichlorohydrin and bisphenol A, with production conditions controlled to give an epoxy equivalent of 450–560 g/eq and a softening point of 60–76°C. This equivalent-weight range places SM601 in the same general class as Chang Chun's BE-501 grade, and it shares the same core strengths of that class: high bonding strength and good toughness in the cured film.
The resin appears as a transparent solid with no obvious mechanical impurities and a Gardner color of 1.0, giving a low-color, clean cure suited to appearance-sensitive coating applications.

Application
This epoxy resin is mainly made of epochlorohydrane and bisphenol A, and is produced by controlling the conditions in the production process. It has high bonding strength, good toughness, widely used in anticorrosive coating, electrophoretic coating, powder coating, baking tank coating, rolling steel coating, printing iron coating, etc.
