ZC-MHHPA is a liquid anhydride curing agent for epoxy resins (assay ≥ 98.0%). Compared with conventional methyl tetrahydrophthalic anhydride (MTHPA), it cures to a lighter color, offers a higher glass transition temperature and cures slightly faster. It is used in dry-type transformers, high-voltage switches, instrument transformers, capacitors and LEDs.
Product Specificaiton
ZC-MHHPA is a colorless, transparent liquid anhydride curing agent for epoxy resins (molecular formula C9H12O3, molecular weight 168.19). It has a purity of at least 98.0%, a color of 50 Hazen (Pt-Co) or lower, a viscosity of 50–80 mPa·s at 25°C and a crystallization point of -15°C or lower.
- Compared with conventional methyl tetrahydrophthalic anhydride (MTHPA), ZC-MHHPA offers:
- Light color after curing, suitable for white or colorless transparent products
- Good heat resistance, with a glass transition temperature (Tg) higher than that of conventional MTHPA
Slightly faster curing, which helps reduce the amount of accelerator required
It has a slightly higher viscosity and somewhat greater moisture absorption than conventional MTHPA, so containers should be kept tightly sealed during storage.
