Trigonox® 279 is a fast peroxide blend for the cure of unsaturated polyester resins at elevated temperatures in combination with a cobalt accelerator.
Trigonox 279 is a fast peroxide blend from Nouryon of acetylacetone peroxide (AAP) and tert-butyl peroxybenzoate (TBPB) in solvents. It cures unsaturated polyester resins at elevated temperatures together with a cobalt accelerator such as Accelerator NL-49 PN (1 % cobalt).
The blend combines a fast-acting ketone peroxide with the perester also sold as Trigonox C, which suits continuous laminating, resin transfer moulding, filament winding and centrifugal casting. Store Trigonox 279 between −5 °C and 25 °C in tightly closed original containers, in a dry, well-ventilated area away from heat, ignition sources and direct sunlight. Keep it away from reducing agents such as amines, acids, alkalis and heavy metal compounds, and never mix it directly with the cobalt accelerator.
