Product Description
Trigonox® BPIC-CP75 is an aliphatic percarbonate used for curing unsaturated polyester resins at elevated temperatures. It is especially developed for curing UP resin-based Hot Press Molding formulations (SMC, DMC, BMC, etc.) in the temperature range of 120–170°C, and gives long shelf-life stability of the compound.
Compared with Trigonox® C (tert-butyl peroxybenzoate), Trigonox® BPIC-CP75 can be characterized as a faster and more efficient peroxide, giving a faster and more optimal cure with lower residual styrene content in the molded part. Combined with an optimal Low Profile or Low Shrink formulation, a smooth, regular surface on the molded product can be achieved. Its decomposition products are low-volatility compounds, which makes it well suited to production of items such as microwave cookware. For further increased reactivity, Trigonox® BPIC-CP75 can be used in combination with a highly reactive peroxide such as Trigonox® 21or Trigonox® 141.
