Neogel® 8373-T-9747 is an air-drying gelcoat suitable for repairing FRP products, and can also be applied directly by external spraying. It is generally used together with the corresponding base Neogel 8373-W-9747 gelcoat.

Processing Characteristics

Neogel® 8373-T-9747 is a pre-accelerated, thixotropic gelcoat, available in a wide range of colors for spray application or hand lay-up application.

When spray equipment is used, recommended conditions are:

• Compressed-air spray guns: nozzle diameter 1.5–2.5 mm, spray pressure 4–5 atm

• Airless spray guns: recommended nozzle sizes 18/40–21/40

For best performance:

• Gelcoat application temperature: 18–25°C

• Use a 50% MEKP hardener solution (e.g. Butanox M50), dosage 1%–2%

• Coating thickness: not less than 0.3–0.5 mm

• Excellent Performance

Neogel® 8373-T-9747 offers the same overall performance as its corresponding base gelcoat: easy application, good air release and sanding properties, color consistency with the production gelcoat, and good aging and water resistance.

Application Method

Suitable for brushing, air-atomizing spray gun, and airless spray gun application.
