LOCTITE® LB 8008 C5-A™ — widely known simply as LOCTITE® C5-A® — is a copper-colored anti-seize paste that protects mated metal parts from high-temperature seizing and galling. Studs, bolts, flanges, and gaskets coated with C5-A® come apart more easily later, and in noticeably cleaner condition, which matters most on equipment that gets serviced repeatedly over its life. It's compatible with copper, brass, cast iron, steel, all alloys including stainless steel, plastics, and non-metallic gasketing materials, and is rated across an exceptionally wide service range of -29°C to +982°C — putting it in a different performance tier than a room-temperature anti-seize. It's a common fixture in petroleum chemical plants, steel mills, power plants, marine equipment, and foundries, alongside general original equipment and maintenance work.
