AROPOL® K 530 TB is a thixotropic, preaccelerated isophthalic-based unsaturated polyester resin developed for spray-up and hand lay-up composite manufacturing.The resin combines good mechanical properties with elevated-temperature resistance. It has medium reactivity and a relatively long gel time, making it suitable for composite production processes that require sufficient working time before curing.AROPOL K 530 TB can be considered for the manufacture of tanks, pipes, silos, boats and other glass-fiber-reinforced composite products. It is particularly suitable for applications involving corrosive environments or where reliable mechanical properties are important.

Application
AROPOL K 530 TB can be evaluated for the production of fiberglass-reinforced tanks where mechanical performance and exposure to a corrosive environment are important.
The complete laminate design, corrosion barrier, reinforcement structure and curing system must be selected according to the chemicals, temperature and service conditions involved.
The resin can be used in hand lay-up or spray-up pipe components and associated fittings. Processors should verify laminate thickness, catalyst level, working time and curing conditions through production trials.
Its mechanical properties and isophthalic resin structure make AROPOL K 530 TB suitable for consideration in composite silos, containers and industrial structures.
