Description
ACRYSOL RM-8W Rheology Modifier is a solvent-free, nonionic, hydrophobically modified ethylene oxide urethane (HEUR) rheology modifier that offers excellent flow and leveling, uniform film formation, gloss development, and high thickening efficiency in interior and exterior latex paints. It can be used in combination with a high-shear builder such as ACRYSOL RM-3000 Rheology Modifierto reach a desired balance of high and low shear viscosity in flat through gloss formulations. See also ACRYSOL RM-2020 NPR, another Dow HEUR rheology modifier that the manufacturer specifically names as a KU-efficient companion product to combine with RM-8W (or RM-12W) for balancing high and low shear viscosity in flat through gloss formulations.When compared to ACRYSOL RM-8 and ACRYSOL RM-825 Rheology Modifiers in different paint formulations, ACRYSOL RM-8W provided similar rheology, efficiency, and end-use properties.
